Have had my BB A51 4D 2.7 for a week now and still love it. But there is one problem that is annoying the snot out of me...
My side view mirrors ‘whistle’ at speeds greater than 50mph. The faster the louder the whistle. If I collapse the mirror or simply put my hand on the outer lower corner it goes away. The issue is where the plastic halves of the mirror housing come together. I’ve put a piece of electrical tape on it and that makes it go away also but that’s clearly not a long term fix. Will have the dealer check it out.
Anyone else having this issue?

You're not the first to mention this. I wonder if the upgraded mirrors with cameras and lights do it too?

Maybe some kind of sealant will work for the long term.

That's' what I'm thinking.
Masking tape (clean, crisp edge where you want it to be) and some quality silicone.

Soo funny story. We had a whistle issue with a door handle years ago for Toyota. The fix was a piece of tiny foam.
I wonder you can find that foam and open that up and put the foam strip in their it will go away.

guess these things aren't made to go over 50mph...

even though 99% of the people purchasing them won't ever go off road.

🤷‍♂️

I've only caught it one time in a strong cross wind coming off a lake. I'll have to keep my ears sharpened now...

This stuff is one of THE handiest things to have in the shop. Sticks like crazy.
Just make sure whatever you are trying to stick/piece together is EXACTLY where it is supposed to go. There is no repositioning.

This would more than likely do the trick. Maybe some broncos are getting foam and others are not?

I drove an outer banks with the 360 camera, it did not whistle.

Very sticky. I used a tiny radio antenna as my tool choice for sticking the strip to the handles. 😂😂

Good point, I wouldn't use VHB (very high bond). They 3m makes tape that isn't as strong.

You’d be surprised the crazy tiny noise fixes. I almost bet they are working on fitment as well. That gap def shouldn’t be their. Or doing something like this. We did this often. Handles, sunroofs, you name it. Foam strip fix.

Please inform the dealer, its the only way Ford will get official "complaints" to start a process of addressing/ignoring depending on severity, cost to fix, safety implications, etc. This is how Technical Service bulletins are born.

PS I've asked Ford to expedite my deliver so I can provide another data point o this forum.
