Sirius radio keeps jumping back to channel 1

Sometimes when I change channels on my Sirius radio it jumps back to the preview channel on channel 1. This happens quite often and it is very annoying. Doesn't matter if I turn the tuning dial or use the touch screen, it happens either way. There does not seem to be any pattern to when this happens. Has anyone else noticed this?

I would call and have them send a reset signal to the radio.

You still on the trial? Apparently if you don't go fill out all your contact info for the new account it does this. They want to be able to reach you to renew the subscription or to make you call them so they can try to sell you a subscription.

No my free trial ended a while ago. I am on subscription.

Hello. This happens to me when I first start up the bronco. It 'fixes' itself after a few miles. The time on the radio shows the incorrect time sometimes too...but it 'fixes' itself after a few miles too.

You can go online to the Sirius XM website to send the reset signal…..it’s much faster that way

This is a Sirius issue not a Ford Issue. As was stated earlier, you need to have your signal reset. This has happened on 3 of my different vehicles as well.

The signal doesn’t need to be reset. When I turn the tuning dial after it has jumped back to channel 1, all Sirius channels are still available.

Mine does it too...in bronco but not in my stang. Its not the signal. It's in the bronco somehow with how the dial communicates with the sirius program channel it asks for.

The signal doesn’t need to be reset. When I turn the tuning dial after it has jumped back to channel 1, all Sirius channels are still available.

It’s easy and worth a try. Resetting the signal doesn’t have to do with getting channels necessarily but rebooting the radio. Kind of like clearing the cache on your computer. You can literally do this on your phone while sitting in your bronco. Or just keep getting channel 1.

No for me either, I am on a subscription as well. Just glitches and goes back to Preview Channel (1). Only error I have in any of the electronics.
