Not sure if this has been posted or seen before. Was found on FordAuthority.

Regardless of carpet or not there will be 6 passive plugs and also drain provisions near A/C under seat.

So I assume active would be that it self drains and passive is you would have to pull it out?

So what would this be considered?

This has re-confused me on the subject. @Aman has seen these up close, maybe he knows.

This is amazing news, now I’m DEFINITELY getting basquatch. Passive or active idc, drains are drains right? ?
That’s like saying “a hole is a hole”.

Yeah, I think the active ones just make it a bit easier to flush gunk out, whereas the passive drains could possibly be (I’m guessing) more easily blocked.

Active vs Passive drains in my Polaris RZR. Passive are the little slits on the left. They are always there, doing their thing. They don't flow much but will slowly empty the footwell.
Active is the big removable plug. Pull it to quickly dump water or for washing it out.

I'm sure the Bronco will be similar and this should help explain the difference between active and passive drains.

I was mostly getting the BD for the floor drains and the rear locker. Now that I can mansquatch, news like this just pushes me toward the base. I bet I can take that carpet out, line-X or raptor line the floor, and have a decent thing without paying extra for the active drains.

Think of it like this, active means you have to perform an action to remove them. Passive means no action needs to be taken.

Every model has passive drains. Black Diamond and Badlands have both active and passive.
