I have to say that I have been jazzed by the slide out tailgate since the day I saw it. The longer I look at it and think about it, I am starting to wonder if it really has much value at all. It gets a 10 for cool, but does it really serve much purpose?

Depends on what you are going to do with your Bronco. I have no need for it at this time, but think it is cool for those who do...

I’m looking forward to it. I use the back of my Jeep as a table while at the range, and it’ll be nice to 1. Not have to lean so far in and 2. Have extra workspace I can access quickly without rearranging all my gear.

I was bummed to hear on the Q&A video that Bronco Nation just released that installing the slide out tailgate eliminates the ability to store the doors onboard due to the height of the crossbar. I think I'd want to stowe the doors in the back more than I'd need the tailgate but I'm still on the fence. At least it will be a late availability option that i can have installed at the dealership if i decide to wait and install it later.

If you camp or tail gate, it's probably very useful. For me it would be showing someone, hey look at this. They ask, what will you do with that? Me, probably nothing.

I don’t think I’m willing to sacrifice storing the doors on board for the tailgate, even though I think it’s such a cool feature and would definitely use it all the time. At least it’s something I can add on later if I change my mind

I knew the slide out tailgate would kill door storage when I saw the door video on YouTube.

But I doubt if I’d ever need the onboard door storage. The tops I would need. And I think that’s still easily possible with the tailgate.

the doors I’ll just make a cheap cart for them and put it in the garage

Depends on price. If Ford can keep it around $400 I’m game.

its a nice place to sit and look up at the stars in nature or grab a quick bite
After seeing this in person it’s way to small to give up a level floor for. This will work better for you and save you $380.00 ?

This is why it should have been a fold down tailgate with power roll down window

Don't need it, don't want it, and won't miss it on my 2 door.
