Does anyone know anything about this router? It came up when I was trying to hook up to the Bronco Trail App.

Yeah... SDL is the software library/protocol behind Ford AppLink, which is what Ford uses for connecting smartphone apps to your Sync system.

Yeah it should not be doing that.
According to the folks over at Bronco Nation—who have direct contact with the Bronco brand team at Ford—the Trail App has been officially discontinued, and it's been pulled from the Google Play and Apple App Store.
I didn't think existing installs of the Trail app would break. But since no one is maintaining the app any more you'll probably see some weirdness. My guess the reason why it is prompting you for login is because some sort of token or certificate expired on the backend.
But if you want you can always call the Ford Customer Service line and see what's up. (Edit: And then post back and let us all know what's up
)

Sooo many people (including myself) were looking forward to serious trail app integration into the Bronco and the whole thing ended up being a half-assed debacle. If they never planned to commit to it they should have cut their losses and never released it.

Just seeing that app mentioned makes me angry. Any manager could have seen this coming and switched gears to make a viable product.
they should have treated it just like satellite radio: separate service, free for a few months. They could have licensed onx or some other app. I’m sure any service would have been more than willing to be pre-installed.
instead we basically got bait/switched. App was advertised as an included feature, didn’t work, and was shut down without compensation.
