Wow I still don't have mine (but it's here local somewhere), but seeing so many of these failures for what is really moderate wheeling is making me order spares just so I have them handy. I can't believe Ford didn't break them in their testing.

i guess i need to ask @flip about this little clamp. See if he can find part number
If you get the inner tie rod below, it will have the boot/bellows and both clamps. For the life of me I can't understand why the jamb nut isn't in the kit because the catalogue doesn't show it sold by itself but looks like it should be in the kit. The inner MB3Z-3280-B is the tie rod by itself without clamps.

The markings on the clamp are 69.5 OET. Band is 7mm wide and 69.5 diameter before the crimp. Will also need the crimping pliers or a kit like this....

Well the dealer that ordered the part lists it as MB3Z 3280 B, which you are saying DOES NOT come with the clamps and boot?

darn it I called and the guy said it did, but he may have just looked like you did and not what I actually ordered.
I’ll have to call back now

@flip

so weird.
I called the dealer back….he was adamant that what I ordered “MB3Z-3280-B was the kit… and that the “A” was the OUTER rod. What you linked to shows the opposite

I guess I’ll just have to wait until it comes in to see.

Dunno. This is sitting on my desk to take along this weekend for another group run. Look at the packaged date right above the bar code. Neither the -A or -B say "kit" on the sticker or in Microcat. The boot kits were on back order at the same time the rods were and labeled as "discontinued" so maybe they're only available with the rod now. Dunno. Just not sure the -B will have it in there unless Ford really screwed up.

This is a pic I took of the -B when it arrived.

The -B was done a few months ago so I guess it's possible the new packages have the boot in them but that would make no sense to have two identical parts with different numbers.
yea I’m seriously not confident in what the dealer said versus what you are showing.

Hey guys…. We had a great group of Broncos this morning out at Uwharrie in central North Carolina….

I was the only guy rolling on 33s in a stock Black Diamond.

Got myself stuck on a rock, and one of the guys used a kinetic rope to pull me off…but when my left front tire caught traction…the tie rod snapped like a chicken bone.

Thanks to @Mountains2Metal for having the @BroncoBuster tie rod braces to get me off the trail…

And then thanks for @Tricky Dick and @Copperhorse73 for installing a 2004 Ranger tie rod to get me home.

Great lesson on never wheeling alone.

Glad they were able to get you home. I need to venture out with you all sometime. In Chapel Hill.

This is super helpful. Can someone post a trail tool kit list needed to swap out an inner tie rod?

Just got the “A” in from you and it’s the complete kit with the boot. 👍
I guess I’m about to find out, I think my “B” kit is in. Gonna call dealer.

What's more f'd is the pic in Microcat shows the jamb nut is supposed to be available with the rack assembly or with the -A kit. I popped 4 other boxes opened, no nut and it doesn't show it as a stand alone hardware number. We could claim they were mispackaged and send them all back but then have no idea if the next batch we get is any different. Or, the catalogue could be wrong.
