9/26/22 Quick Update
-Instagram has reinstated account @Raketdesign
-Mark 1 prototype complete, but we’re thinning it down significantly. You spoke so we listened. Mark II starts on Wednesday. This includes:
  1. Smaller/Lower Basket (approx 50 lbs total).
  2. Smaller/Curved cowling w/light mount capability.
  3. Lighter Front assembly (approx. 20 lbs)
  4. Slimmer rear tower with molle pattern (approx. 45 lbs).
We’re excited with a few partnerships we have been working on once the order portal goes live. Don’t forget to add your name to the “early intention list”. I plan to close it this Friday (9/30/22). This list will have first access to the rack system. Thanks for everything and we’ll talk soon.

The first video was just a CNC machine. Not sure what I missed. The photos are better. The side panel able to have some molle? Not sure how much support the top rack needs.

Thanks I’ll have to check on that. A majority of info is on the thread below if you’re looking to get caught up. Yes the final rack system will have molle panels in both sides cut into the aluminum. Stay tuned for updates.

If you’re looking for a high load capacity roof rack (That’s removable) here it is.

1000 lb static / 480 lb dynamic (off road & highway) with strength to spare. I’ll be releasing more videos, but a minimal sway is all we got. Enjoy :)

I respect what you guys are doing but dang the rack needs to be slanted more in the front for less wind resistance. Say goodbye to at least several MPG with this wind brake in the front lol

Shrinking by this much but changing the angle affects the soft top opening. No loss in mpg but I collect bugs lol.

Sorry if I’m missing something but is the cardboard showing what was on mark I that isn’t there anymore? There’s nothing behind the cardboard is there?

Yes the black behind the cardboard was the rest of the front cowling that’ll be cut off. It’ll decrease the front by 3-4 inches.

We’re staying up late to complete the fitting of the prototype. I’ll do my best to share content over the weekend as I test it out. Say hello and check it out if you see me on the roads.

Thanks,
Derick

Do you have a total height increase with the roof rack? I have a few inches before I won’t fit in my garage anymore but also have coilovers I can adjust to a point to give me more clearance.

I appreciate the offer. Man I started taking this apart into the different segments, and I’m pretty happy with the modularity of it.

we are shrinking the basket, gussets, tower and cowling. Once that’s done I would assume 6.5” from the top of the roof.
