I previously complained about the $2500 price for the winch when Warn had it for $1500. While it's still more expensive to have Ford install, it might not be as bad as I thought. I didn't understand the mounting solution. It actually comes with an additional guard per picture...

I wondered about that mounting platform and bull bar. Where did you see/hear that is part of the winch purchase? Can that mounting platform be purchased separately, without the winch?

When you click on the exclamation point for the winch it lists mounting solution. On the Warn site under mounting systems for Jeeps. (no Bronco yet) They are around $500. They probably had to fabricate for Bronco and work around front trail cam which adds to price. Then the installation.

You might have to go after mkt for just the low rise. If you add brush guard, then you double up after adding winch.

As far as I can tell, they still haven't come up with a solution for having both a camera and winch.

I wonder if the front camera is so wide angle that the winch is not interfering as much as we think. I have no idea, just wondering.

This is the easy solution. I’m surprised Ford is not including this to alleviate all the worries about the camera being blocked. That bull bar may obstruct the view a little, but the majority should be clear.

I will wait and go after market for mount and winch, I have had and like the Quadratec Q-Performance Stealth Winch 10,000 lbs with Synthetic Rope. It has wireless/wired remote and a low profile should be fine with the camera, and at $600 + mount I can save $1500 for other goodies!

2,500 is a damn good price, ford charges 3,000 for a winch on a tremor

I recall reading somewhere that the DIOs will ship separately, and will be installed by the dealers with credits from Ford.
