So if you get the Sasquatch package, does that mean you can't put anything on the roof?

There will likely be a switch, like a passenger airbag switch that tells the computer if there is any weight in the passenger seat. It'll probably work a lot like that, and if you have any weight on the roof the vehicle won't start. Or it'll implode.

Yep, the 360 degree camera will send the data to Ford if it sees anything up there, and they will remotely disable your vehicle for one week (the first time it happens).

My plan is to order the roof rack and the kayak carrier separately ... and I have every intention of having them on the roof in the summer as well as skis in the winter. I’ve been told I can order the racks on January 19th - they just won’t come mounted, which is fine.

Yes and no. It simply means you can't put anything on the roof with Ford's blessings. You can take any other 4 door model that doesn't have Sasquatch and add a roof rack on their MIC... so it is NOT a mic limitation.

So if you require Ford's ok... loose Sasquatch or go with a 2 door. If you are willing to adjust after delivery... you will have options.

There are a crap ton of heavy off road rigs with roof racks all over the place and I bet most are over their Max weight.

2 dr doesn't have that issue. That said, no you can absolutely put weight on the top.
