I'm sure someone else caught this, but in the Moab video... the opening shot shows a dash readout that claims the Bronco was getting 15.8 mpg.

I'm guessing it is a Badlands, but it seems to have the wider flairs that are part of SAS.

Just wanted to see what folks think? Like the dissecting begin!

They are running trails and such with long periods of idling. I wouldn’t put too much faith in the vehicle’s computer mpg estimate when they’re not actually doing city/highway driving.

Well these guys have been rock crawling with them so I can’t imagine they are getting the best mileage with them.

my focus ST says 25mpg average because I do a lot of city driving. I’m sure the bronco is going to be rated considerably higher than 15mpg

On a day of wheeling I normally average about 9 in my JK. 15.8 sounds awesome..
The trip shows 157mi in 2:44. That's highway driving if I'm reading the numbers right.

It's not the best MPG but I wasn't expecting great numbers with any trim.

It’s running on trails, it will get significantly higher on the road. I mean the 7.3L gas F250 is averaging 15MPG.

lots of discussion on this already...Those numbers mean zilch to many unknowns. Probably avg 19ish with 18/22 rating...Faster you go with big tires worse your mpg. My f150 starts dropping about 70mph but I'm undergeared for 35s
Generically speaking, once you are above 55mph your gas mileage will decline... the one thing I remember from high school physics

Big wheels will kill the mpg. I’m averaging less than that on my 2015 4runner. It has 33s on it. The Sasquatch is going to be a gas hog.
Most of that is gearing and an antique transmission. Lots of guys get back to near stock mpg running 35s and 37s after a regear

You are not going to get good MPG on trails. I expect the MPG to be higher for people daily driving vs while out on trails.

Doubt it was 160mi of crawling in 2hr 45 min. That's mostly highway miles.

Assuming they did a full reset and not just the trip odometer, but out west, 60mph avg gets you run over, maybe the were running 75 and idled for 25 minutes..

This thread ??‍♂

There are so many unknown factors here; all this speculation is seriously pointless.
