several
[ˈsev(ə)rəl]
More than two but not many.

I wonder if this refers to:
-Hard top
-Soft top
-Pillars stay on
-Pillars come off
-Color choices

Or is there another surprise awaiting us?

Read this quote this morning on Ford Authority: "Several roof options will be offered, along with at least two tire packages – one for off-road use, and another for on-road use. Additionally, there will be three grille options to choose from, as Ford Authority was first to exclusively report." https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/FMfcgxwJWhrfmtPGNPjPwSPJqdCBFqSJ

I know we already know/have seen most of this but I had not seen any definitive remarks (if this can be construed as one) about roof offerings. Link me up if I missed something. Well, off to work to await another new drip! Thanks.

It's made up and guesstimation anyway, so who cares what they meant.

Im really hoping the cage comes off and there is some way to flatten out our remove the rear seats to show a flat floor. I want mine to be able to be a roadster trucklet when I need it. Also would be cool if the cage came off and I could put a sport hoop in it to support a fastback bikini top. That would be sick. Lots of different reasons to have different tops.

I've been quite about this. This is the 20th time I've seen people talking that they hope the roll cage is removable... To be clear. They did an end to that in the mid 70s as far as trucks go. This why bronco and k5 blazer moved to half solid roof trucks for safety reasons come mid 70s. Have you seen how many people roll Jeep's over? There will never be a modern off roader from the factory that allows you to drive around with just a windshield.

how doesthat affect convertibles? they don't have one, or most don't.
Most have expensive rollover protection systems that involve bars that automatically deploy from behind the rear seats in the event of a rollover.

Doesn't have to be a cage, per se, but any new convertible will either have a visible roll hoop behind the seats, or one that is hidden but deploys in the event of a rollover. The hidden style isn't really feasible in an SUV form factor:

I believe they put more structure in the lower part to compensate for not having the roof structure as well. The 'roof' is part of the "frame" in a "unibody" design.

how do you think the noise on the tops will compare the jeeps?

I understand that road noise is just part of the package when you have a removable roof. But maybe Ford has something that will help a little bit.

I can't say about the new stuff, but my TJ has the roll bar bolted in and bars bolted from that to the windshield, ALL for roll over protection. I can unbolt all that stuff and fold the windshield down but I believe at that point I no longer have any roll over protection :ROFLMAO: …….. but of course there is ALWAYS that jackass that does this and then sues !!! ……. and wins !!!!!! DAMN those bastards, that's why we have TPMS sensors now !!! …..

sorry that 'kinda turn into a rant. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ….. It will be nice to drive the Bronco "roadster" style down the road. (y)(y) …. old school.

Remember ”technically“ the roof of the gen 5 bronco was NOT removable. Was not mentioned in the owners manual nor at dealerships or advertising. Because doing so would remove the center taillight. So they put security bolts in to hold the top down. However every hardware store carries security drivers.
I imagine Ford could do something similar with the roll cage.

Wrong, my 6g Mustang doesn't have shit but a windshield if I rollover. All it has is extra bracing underneath
