What price range do you consider not crazy?

I've got 3/8inch shackles from Bubba rope. I didn't feel they were too expensive, but I guess it all depends on your definition of quality and crazy money.

I have found that the good folks on B6G find some very good products at excellent prices. I've been very impressed. In any event, from my point of view, over a $100 is a bit pricey.

Gear America 1/2” soft shackles are great quality, but bumping up against your crazy money limit at $95/pair

I use JM Rigging.

I carry one screw-pin Crosby shackle and a few soft shackles. Each have their place in recovery. I'm the "official" recovery person for Trail Hero and have performed hundreds of recoveries over the years. Record was around 30 winch recoveries in one day.

Be SURE your recovery gear is accessible....ie: within reach from the drivers seat. My winch controller, a tree saver and/or endless loop, a pair of leather gloves and a soft shackle are all handy...easy to hand out the window to a buddy to hook up.

The photo is from Trail Breaker 2023, using the WARN RC9 on my JHF Trail buggy to do an endo recovery of Steve Nantz. Three Raptor slings, and two soft shackles from JM Rigging were used.
