Most of this is dependent on the dealers actually calling them and informing them of the situation. We're all highly online, but I'm unsure if the average Bronco customer understands the "game" of commodity constraints. I do wonder if dealers are following the directions to call and attempt to convert to soft tops.

I doubt you received the email to Bronco Specialists and Dealer Principals (link #2 above). That’s the one that specifies what the current commodity constraints are…
  • How can customers receive their Bronco sooner? Customers willing to avoid key commodity constraints (Hardtop Roof, 2.7L engine, Lux or Sasquatch Package, Badlands/Wildtrak, Safari Bar or Trailer Tow package, etc.) will have a higher likelihood for 2021MY production based on part availability.
So your dealer is either grossly uninformed, lying to you, or a complete idiot.

What is your reservation date (not order date), and what is your exact build spec?

If we know that, then we can better advise you of your likely delivery date, but with a MIC top, it’s likely going to be a while, given the current problems at Webasto, even with a lower spec Big Bend trim level, because all of the FEs need to be built this year.
ok,

FWIW, that Bronco Bastards blog post on 6/1/21 is pretty accurate, but appears to be a compilation of the news that @PREMiERdrum broke on this forum on 5/28/21, right after the Ford email was sent to customers with orders not yet scheduled…

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/⛑-ford-effectively-assumes-operational-control-of-webastos-plymouth-plant-to-help-resolve-bronco-top-supply-issue.17179/

It’s a messy read, full of customer angst and venting, because it was unfolding in real time, but it will give you a sense for how the news was received here last weekend.

Perhaps someone was getting the 2022 Build and Price ready for 2022 and hit the wrong button.

I think yall are over valuing the need for a wiper or defroster on a near vertical back window.
Agreed. I've had several vehicles equipped with rear goodies spanning over several years and multiple climates and have only used them a handful of times.

That being said , I would add a kit if available simply to have it for resale as apparently many of today's buyers think they need it.

Yes, the date that you reserved the Bronco and paid your initial $100 deposit by credit card.

MIC hard top, Sasquatch package, trailer tow package, and 2.7L engine are all constrained commodities, per Ford’s FAQ to dealers last weekend (bottom of link #2 that I posted earlier), so depending on your reservation date, you may be waiting a while, possibly into 22MY, unless you change your build spec to remove some of those commodities.

Yes, the date that you reserved it. It should show the date next to the order in your Ford.com account.

That’s a decent reservation date (4 days before mine), but keep in mind that approximately 40% of all reservations were allegedly made within the first 2 days of the 7/13/21 reveal.

You may luck out and get your Bronco built in 21MY, but that is probably doubtful, due to the Webasto production issues and your particular build spec. It may also depend on where your reservation date and timestamp ranks in your dealer’s 21MY allocation, but the Webasto constraint really pushed that once-important factor back into the cheap seats in the scheduling process.

TL;DR — the best way to expedite your build date would be to switch to a soft top model — it has to be 4D, because 2D soft top is not currently an available build option — and eliminate some or all of the other items on the constrained commodities list. Otherwise, your order will show up in WBDO as “dirty” instead of “clean”, and the scheduling program will have to skip it due to unavailable parts to complete the build.

The 13 was the first day to reserve? I thought I had made the reservation the evening of the first day. But I may have him hawed a day or so, lol

I don't think many dealers have an incentive to convert customers to soft top. If people don't convert, it appears that they will be able to fill their allocation with dealer stock orders instead.

Do you have new information on the hardtop issue? Dealers have posted that their 2021 allocation will likely include dealer stock when they don't have enough buildable orders due to the hardtop shortage. It makes sense that they won't stop production when they run out of soft top reservations to build.
