The wiper only comes on if your front wipers are on and you put the transmission in reverse. There is no rear wiper switch. There is a rear washer/wiper activation by turn the intermittent dial all the way backward or forward. So the wiper is a joke. The rear window defrost, in my opinion, is your deciding factor for ordering a hardtop first.

Not true, read the upper right hand corner of page 90. "Reverse wipe" is an additional feature to the switch on the column.

I think yall are over valuing the need for a wiper or defroster on a near vertical back window.

Way over value! I guess it helps the last 5 years of owning my Ford Expedition both of those things didn’t work and I never bothered to repair or replace it. So the soft top will be fine and a hard top, if I get one will be fine too.

I interrupted the manual incorrectly. The rear wiper does have its own switch.

same, I'd immediately call my dealer, as long as it's nice outside I'd much rather have the soft top anyways. But I won't buy the Bronco w/o that tubing and wiring. Not if they promised me delivery tomorrow. Or right now.

They should prewire them all, just like you can pay a couple hundred $ and get the 5 prewired ceiling switches

I had a Ford with that inner circle switch for the rear, instead of the switch on the end of the stalk. Whatever the design, it should be there in case there's a hard top.

I will just wait for my 2 door hardtop the soft top is useless to me and have no desire to own one
