Soft Top Fitment Issue?

So just picked up our bronco today. Drove around with the top down/doors off. I put everything back together but is it normal for the soft top to not seat all the way along the top edge of the door? I can put my hand under it. It looks like there might be a channel it all snaps into but i'm not 100% sure? Or is that just how it is because it's a soft top???

No, it should be a tighter seam. Throw up a picture.

That is not how my soft top is. If I was home I'd go look, but I do not have a gap like thst.

It's not there but i can easily pull back and stick my hand up there

This is a crappy picture of my soft top but I don’t think I’ve had the same issue. I’ve had it up/down 8-10 times now. good luck with this

Are you able to just stick your hand under neath? I mean it's covered but i can stick my hand inside. It doesn't have to clip on or anything it just folds down and sits over it?

Look up the top opening/closing procedure in the owners manual and try folding it open then shut using the owners manual procedure. If that doesn’t work head to the dealership.

I mean opening/closing is pretty easy. They just show you lifting the 2 tabs, lifting it up then closing it and securing the 2 tabs inside. They don't show you doing anything else

I just checked. It looks the same to me. All I know is this: the day after I got my BL I drove through PA into S. Jersey at the height of storm Ida and passed the real thing water test. Passed with flying colors.

Before i drove it off the lot i took the rear windows out and put the top down

Ran downstairs to check mine and it is the same way. Never noticed it or had an issue until you pointed it out. I wouldn't worry about it.

Good luck. theres a learning curve, don’t get frustrated. But when you do get frustrated watch the Ford video some more. Folks including me were having trouble with the driver side latch on the top. It’s loosened up and is fine now.
