My wife loves her soft top, but I have to admit this is cool:

I don't know that it would change my mind and make me buy a Jeep. But I do know that GM's flex tailgate would make me strongly consider a GM pickup over the competition, so that's what made me think about this.

yeah, a couple of issues for me: I like having the first position open on the factory top, plus I'm just not a fan of the slant back design.

I rented a sahara 4Xe with the sky one touch top. It’s a fantastic top and I would buy one for my bronco in a heartbeat if available. It’s superior to the mytop that’s out. I cringe every time I watch the video of that thing opening as it crushes the rear side windows.

to answer your question though, I would absolutely not buy a Jeep because of it. No hate at all for jeeps, I just like the road manners and interior room of the bronco better.

As a soft top owner, I would buy (or start saving for) the Bronco equivalent of this if it was available. Seems like the best of both worlds, though I'm guessing road noise is closer to a standard soft top. Having never owned a soft top before, I appreciate the open air summer use of the soft top way more than I expected, and though I plan to switch to a hard top eventually once mine falls apart, that's something I'll definitely miss. This kind of a hybrid gives you that flexibility and also seems like it would allow for a much wider variety of OEM compatible roof racks, which is the biggest downside of the soft top in my opinion.

I also think the roof vents/windows on the grenadier and defenders are pretty nifty and it would be cool if someone made front hardtop panels for the Bronco like those.

Maybe in a couple more years.

My soft top retraction "button" is to open both latches while I'm driving and give the soft top a quick upward jab when I'm going 20mph or so. Cybertrucks can't do that!

Only problem is once the top's open, it's open until I either pull over or get wherever I'm headed. I've thought about making a discreet closing system with some kind of a string, but the Jeep solution is way slicker.

Haha yes. Doesn't work every time but if you give it a good pop at the front going 20-25 or so, the wind will catch it and do the rest
hell, I'm just thinking reaching the passenger release for the top AND having the leverage to release it...while you're driving...

I would like it as a third top option. Not as a replacement for one of the existing tops. I’m sure Ford is working on it. They should also offer a forth top as in a one piece. Maybe a 5th top. One without cracks! Sorry had too.

Absolutely not!
1. It's still a Jeep.
2. I just don't like that top.

My buddy has one. It is not a Bronco! It is just an expensive jeep option.

If I ever went back to a Wrangler I'd have to have this top. Super handy, looks good and most reviews I've seen seem to really like it.

No kidding! I'm traveling for work this week and my ride is a 2024 Rubicon 4xe. I drove a TJ back in the day, and I'm just not liking this thing at all. Probably the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in and boy is this interior cramped beyond belief.

wouldn't it be a lot noisier with the tailgate window still in as all the wind would crash into it? Doesn't look like the whole top could be removed.
