Has anyone tried anything to help deaden the sound with the soft top.
I was thinking of some sort of foam maybe around the top of the frame.
Love my Rig, but man the soft top sucks.

I saw someone else on here suggest installing a Bimini and adding a blanket between the Bimini and the soft top.
I tried that out on a recent 300 mile freeway road trip and it worked pretty well.
Was still getting loud over 80 MPH but below that speed it felt great.

I did the same thing, i put a picnic blanket up there, then forgot about it entirely until my wife started asking for it. It did work alright.

Yeah, I was going to get the Gear Shade for just that purpose, and then realized, wait, all my windows will be out anyway, so what's the point? Earplugs handy.

Has anyone tried the Bestop Trek Top soft top? They claim it is much quieter than the OEM soft top since it seals better. They also tested during the winter and found out it retains the heat pretty well

I find 70% or more of the noise comes from the plastic windows in back. I’m not sure how to quiet that without blocking the windows.

Am I the only one who thinks the soft top is less noisy then hard top? Every hardtop bronco I've driven seemed extremely loud...whistles and pops drove me nuts..I absolutely love my soft top..maybe I'm just deaf but even my wife and kids thought the same. But then again they don't listen to me so who knows

I think the soft top is very loud too, especially around 18 wheelers!

I did this and it helped to some extent at highway speeds to the point that I could have easy phone conversations without having to shout whereas without this inexpensive DIY I could not.
