Is that the gearshade Bimini or a different brand?
Ford. I think it works great. Stays tight after hour plus drives at highway speeds. I basically never have it off.

What kind of difference are you seeing with a bimini+blanket/foam setup?
I tried throwing a couple thick yoga mats on top of my Jtops bimini and it only made a 1-2 decibel difference

I haven’t tested the decibels one way vs the other but I doubt there’s much of a difference between my cheap foam set up vs blankets of sort, but I’m kinda looking forward to it going back on for the winter. Makes the headroom seem much less vacuous if that makes any sense, and therefore more quiet to me.

I went the Dirtydog cover with my soft top and it does help. As most mentioned, the majority of noise comes from the rear windows. I looked at getting additional clear vinyl to add while it is cheap shipping is expensive plus you need to develop an attachment to the rear roll bar. might be worth it down the road.

2nd the dirty dog insulation liner. Made a big difference in noise reduction and also very easy to put on and take off. Also helps a bit keeping heat inside in the winter!

3rd for the Dirty Dog Headliner! I’ve only had mine for a few weeks now but I’m still surprised every time I drive on the highway at how much quieter it is!!

4th on the dirty dog headliner. I had one on my 4 door cut the noise way down and improved heat and ac function. Also super guy to deal with.

I keep hearing about the dirty dog solution. How hard is it to take off when you want to take the top down? I know they have clips and what not. Also, does it take away from the headroom space? I'm 6-41/2 and do not want to lose headroom space.

The noise I have is mostly from my light bar. I mean I have other noise, but the light bar fap fapping the cover is the one I want to get rid of. Maybe I can find this on Amazon and return it if I do not like it.

I’ll be leaving mine off when the weather is nice, it’s not something I would take on and off daily but it’s very easy to take off.
No problem with headroom at all, but I’m not 6’4”, I would think headroom is already a concern so maybe someone close to your height can chime in.
Majority of my wind noise came from the rear of the vehicle so I don’t think this will help with the light bar noise, maybe just isolate it more.

Overall I consider the Dirty Dog Headliner a MUST have for the soft top.

i don't find the road noise like trucks and such to be a bother but the loud wind noise from the back at 70+ mph is annoying. It just sounds like someone forgot to shut the doors fully or roll the window up in the back.

This. I have purchased an Armadillo top, so that was how I decided to deal with this. I do not take my top down enough to justify keeping it on. Also with the Armadillo solution, I still can take the panels off in the cabin, front and back, so that is all I really wanted.

I did this and it helped to some extent at highway speeds to the point that I could have easy phone conversations without having to shout whereas without this inexpensive DIY I could not.
