*shrug* I'm from NY. So I guess i'll find out sooner or later :)

I mean it's got heat so i'm not that concerned. It might feel a bit cooler then my F150, that's for sure. But that's okay. I've never driven/owned a Jeep so it's a new experience for me. But it'll be worth the trade-off because us soft-top owners REALLY enjoy the hell outta the spring/summer/fall months. 3 out of 4 seasons of topless driving is WORTH the slightly colder temps I might get inside.

My real concern is the snow and damaging my windows (rears) cleaning snow off. The last thing I want to do is scratch up the plastic windows.

Plenty of Jeep’s in the Midwest, and they do just fine. Sure, is it a little less insulated? Probably. Does it matter once you crank the heat? Nah!

Winter time top down driving is also very fun.

Most Jeeps in the midwest you see in the snow are hardtops.

I will buy a Best top and see how long I can keep that on once I have!

I guess I’m going to find out the hard way. I don’t have a garage. 😯

I'm in a similar situation. I heard that you shouldn't let more than 6 inches of snow accumulate. Does anyone know if that's true?

I live in FL so I don't have a dog in the fight, but Bestop looked into it…sort of:

I daily drove a CJ-5 with Bestop soft top. During Chicago and Colorado winters with no garage.

One issue is removing snow/ice/frost from the top and in particular the windows. You can't go at it with a scrapper/brush like you would on a hardtop. You mostly have to kind of smack the sides, and also wait for the heater to do it's thing, which can be a pain point if you are in a hurry.

Many days I would end up driving to work/school, hardly able to see out the side/back windows, until finally there was enough cabin heat and time to clear them. The new Bronco should have a better heater than my CJ-5. Overall, a soft top is doable in winter, but not ideal.
