Edit: And the answer is...just dumb. There is a secondary latch on the other end of the red latch, popped it up with a small screwdriver. Hope this saves someone else an hour of head scratching.

Perhaps I'm just dumb and weak, but I can't get this wire harness disconnected for the front passenger seat. Any tips from you smart folks?

Goal is to make a flat area in my 2 door for a 6' fence picket run. Was quick until I met this harness.

Important thing: how do I take out the front passenger seat and deal with the warnings and all that?

Hey Rory, I don’t recall much fussing from the truck, a light on the dash probably. Much less of an issue than I thought it would be.

Ah thank you! If it’s just a light than it’s fine. What I want to avoid is an alarm going off all the time

You're actually supposed to just press on that area right next to the red tab and that's what lifts that secondary latch, but yeah you can do it that way too

Yeah whenever those connectors get covered in dirt and gunk I use a pocket screwdriver on the #2 clip, but you always risk breaking it that way.
