If you want to check your ride to compare its a free app (NIOSH sound level meter)

Disclamer Different roads and if you have the AC on or off things like this will make a difference this is a ballpark not a perfect # (Lux package and carpet I would think would be even less) I did AC off and ran test between the front 2 seats.

Hope to add Jeep numbers next week plan to go by a dealer and get some on both soft top and hard.

Bronco

2021 4 door ? Hard Top (Hope to get soon been looking at dealerships with no luck) I'm in OKC if anyone can help me find one
50mph: ?db
70mph: ?db

2021 4 door Jeep (Hard Top) (No sound deadening) Islander model Tire size 31.5in
50mph: 62-63db
70mph: 75-76db

2021 4 door (Soft top) Jeep 32in tire E model
50mph 64-65db
70mph 69-70db

2019 F150 Platinum (My Truck)
50mph: 58db
70mph: 66db

2018 Sequoia (Wife ride)
50mph: 63-64db
70mph: 67-68db

First off I had a guy going to give me some numbers but they were way off. (I tested my phone to make sure it was right on DBs) You are welcome to post your numbers but keep in mind if you don't test your phone for accuracy it maybe way off. (Normal Chatting is around 60db) just an easy way to see if its even close.

Another variable is the sound deadening in the engine compartment for vehicles with high package, though I doubt that makes much difference at highway speeds compared to wind noise.

As we attempt to understand sound as recorded in decibels, do you feel this chart is an accurate representation of your experience?

Ford Bronco Sound meter measured: 2021 Bronco interior noise decibels @ 50mph and 70mph (soft and hard top) Levels-Of-Noise-In-Decibels

Wonder if the MTs are louder - I pulled a 67 dB average at 70 mph in a Badlands soft top with the KO2s.

JKUR numbers on half used 295/70-17 Duratracs:
Soft top (vinyl):
50: 66dB
70: 73dB

Hard top:
50: 62dB
70: 71dB

Yes, I pointed that out in my first post but all BS aside the engine isn't loud at all without the LUX its really all about wind noise.

Yes as I said in my first post you should be able to download the app and talk normal and read 60db if not go into settings and adjust.

FYI, every 3dB is a doubling of sound power, while we roughly perceive doubling of volume every 8-10dB.
