Spare Delete / Backup Camera

Anyone have a pic with no spare?
I want to delete the spare, but it looks like the backup camera is on a long plastic post that would need to stay.
Maybe they will have a kit to address this?

All kidding aside, you know there will be an aftermarket kit for it. I’ve seem some Jeeps running around without a spare.

Their plan to address the NHTSA federal requirement to have a spare tire or temporary solution is what you see.

You could unbolt the housing and cut all the wires to the third brake light and back-up camera. Removing the backup camera on a post-2016 vehicle will result in a failed inspection and possible ticketing in some states.

Then fill the bolt holes and re-spray the tailgate. So yes, there is an easy way to address this. With time, money and attention by you.

Jeeps have the same thing. TheY have kits that either delete or move the review camera. Just watch for them when they become available. Oh and yadda yadda yadda flat tire. Uh oh. Blah blah.

I agree, would like to roll without the spare/spare mount 90% of the time. Looks way cleaner and the gate is much easier to deal with.
