I assume the sound floor in the Bronco will be high and the locations won’t lend themselves to good sound stage or imaging. That being the case, it will be about enough volume. Assuming I don’t go lux, maybe just upgrade the front speakers add a small 5 channel amp and custom build an 8” sub and enclosure in the back with a shallow mount in a “floor leveling” box or tucked into the “stock” sub location? I did a lot of installations in Jeep’s back in the day and they never sounded good ?
I brought this up in another thread. The Bronco environment just won't lend itself to a super-nice setup. I'm sure there is room for improvement but if you're a true audiophile you'll struggle to really get a "premium" setup.

I feel like the Lux B&O might just end up being able to turn up a little louder without loosing as much quality as the base stereo.

Also....I really don't care for subs in the trunk.

here is your 10 speakers.
3 on the dash.
2 behind the rear passenger head rests.
1 sub most likely under the driver seat or passenger seat or tucked somewhere in the trunk.
2 tweeters on the A pillar
2 tweeters on the B pillar or built into the speakers behind the headrests.
Sub is in the very back right hand side, there are at least 1 in the kick panels both sides,
Those in bold don't exist. There are 2 more in the kick panels and those may be dual cone bringing the total to 10.

It would be real interesting if Ford indeed put a 4" coaxial speaker in the rear pods for the B&O system. Almost like putting a tweeter with in a tweeter.

I just hope you can turn the music off. Mazda only lets you mute the music. So, even if you’re not listening to anything, you can see the music still playing. It’s annoying.

So, everyone gets a subwoofer? That’s kinda cool.

Do not believe that base system has subwoofer or dash center speaker

I’m sure I’ll be happy as hell with this system listening to Marty Robbins singing The Streets of Laredo. The country music I listen to will sound GREAT on the B &O system. I’m sure my dog will like it too.

Can you elaborate on how the environment won't lend well to a good sound system? Is it due to the roof not being air tight ?

Closed environment with hard surfaces-a lot of secondary wave reflection
Not sitting equidistance from R/L speakers
Proximity to front speakers
External noise
Speaker placement in relation to one another
Too bumpy for turntable

Thanks for the insight! Makes sense but...
Sounds like majority of what you cited is an issue for every vehicle

I'm old enough to remember 1st gen CD players skipping when you hit a bump.

I’m old enough to remember pulling 8 track and cassette tapes out of the player:( :ROFLMAO:

I was early adopter of Craig Powerplay, I believe one the first after market amplifiers.
