It’s a set it and forget it for soft tops. Needs that gap so you can latch the top back on. It also does NOT have the ugly middle bar Bestop has.. (see pic of bar)

Someone got one with a custom print. They said it doesn’t flap in the wind.

oh, that small jkini style might be interesting, but I want it for the rear. If the soft top is folded back on top, it sags down a bit and sits on taller rear passenger's head, something like this might prevent that from happening and not take away from the open air feel. For now I don't want a mesh up there, just blue sky, but it's been a very long time since we had a convertible, maybe I'll change my mind once I bake a couple of times.

I've used their product for years and it's a great value. Will be avoiding the overpriced OEM version for this reason.

I agree if it wasn’t post of the mannequin deal I wouldn’t have bought the ford one either. But it’s what I got.
