I’m pretty happy with the way they are doing things.
Oh I couldn't disagree more. I think the Bronco lineup is beyond tainted by many of the things that make buying a new car frustrating. Too many trims, too little flexibility in something billed as a modular platform for enthusiasts.

Seriously. Why can’t I get a Bronco with MGV seating, washout floors, lux package and sport mode? Whyyyy???? The Badlands and Black Diamond are the closest but one lacks sport mode and the other is stuck in mid-package until at least 2032.

It's so convoluted and overdone imo.
Black Diamond should be the Base trim
Big Bend shouldn't exist
OBX and Badlands should be packages not trim levels
Wildtrak is good as an equivalent to a Lariat trim

It could be so much better without sacrificing profits or options

Base should be the base trim, because I can afford it and it has everything I need.

Ford Bronco Spotted Bronco BASE Hardtop 2-Door in the wild! [Video] l0Exm5r6xJjArzBgQ

This little guy came up when I searched "baja" as in the mode Badlands has instead of sport that is likely a more aggressive tune like the Raptor's version.

You're the exception, not the rule. Most people will upgrade beyond the base, it's just there for marketing purposes.

I’m just curious what is stopping you from ordering a base and building it up the way you want? I don’t think any car will ever be all things to all people, but for the most part I like the way they spread out the model series.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at here, not sure what gave you the idea I don't want the things Ford offers in the higher trims. My point is that they sell the modularity of the Bronco as a major perk but after considering all the compatibility constraints, it's barely more customizable than any other vehicle. It could be much better.

Yeah the factory options seem oddly restricted on some trims. However, credit where it's due, Ford could have easily locked Sasquatch to higher trims, but they made basesquatch a thing so we can get the most off-road capable bronco at under $40k (minus the badlands auto-disconnects, but thats a luxury), and the modularity part comes into play mostly with the aftermarket options imo.

Does anyone have a photo shopped pic of a base bronco (non Sasquatch) with 33’s? If so can you please post it up here?
I gotta believe proper backspaced rims will be available soon after the Broncos start hitting the streets.
