Hmm. That will be interesting to watch. I could see that with a babied one, but if you put a lot of miles on it and/or take it wheeling (like it was built for), I'm not so sure the value will hold. How many they building?
Looking at VINs issued in last round of 22 scheduling they’ll “probably” build less than 3000.

Looking at poll related to scheduled vs not scheduled for MY 2022 (45% unscheduled) they “probably” intended to build about 5000.

How many will they build in MY23 and onward? Who knows.

I went back to the dealer to re convert my Raptor order.

Day 1 res holder (1st hour after reveal on July 13 2020). Bronco never got scheduled until I got the Raptor email. Then Raptor never scheduled so went back to the dealer to re place the order for 2023. Dealer said Raptor likely won’t be price protected so eating a 7K loss just because of Ford delaying my Bronco for the past 2 years…

Anyway there was a CG Raptor there and I have to say it looks really much better in real life than on picture. I never loved the look especially due to fender flares but seing it for real and next to my Badlands, it’s incredible. A Monster. Dealer also gave me a ride. Incredible suspension. Power and sounds much better.

Oh, I'm sure. I can probably get $12k more than I paid this summer for mine, but the margin is shrinking every month. I could have gotten $20k over MSRP in April, $15k in July, $12k now. But I didn't buy this car for profiteering. I just like driving the thing!

IDK... Bring a trailer auctions seem to be holding... And even now in Sept, thought I saw one at about $20k over MSRP.

A Badlands did go for around $83k with buyer’s premium this week on BAT, which was ~$20k over sticker if I recall. The market seems to be sporadic, and at least in SoCal, inventory looks to be pretty limited at dealers.

If you sold it in the last 18 months, that's great. But the used car market is correcting. If you buy a Bronco today, you will not get 100% back in 2-3 years. It's just not how a typical, or even tight, used car market works. Selling any used car in the past 18 months for $$ was a unicorn event. One that I took advantage of 🤣
me too. I sold my 2002 Camaro Z28 6 speed for $15k. It was a desirable sunset orange and tastefully modded. Got about $5k more than i would have gotten prepandemic. I also traded my 2016 GMC Canyon All Terrain(50k miles) in when i ordered my Bronco in October '21. Got $5k more than i paid for it 2 years prior and 30k miles less. So i made off like a bandit during it. I bought a beater car until the Bronco came in and kept the beater until it dies. I'll run that car into the ground then get another.

I don't know where you guys live but in jersey before the supply chain issues I would drive by a Ford dealer and there would be 70 F150's in a row waiting.

So in the future I hope that after the hype wears off and supply chain issues resolve. That I can drive past a Ford and there will be 30 broncos sitting there at normal prices.

Not sure how many years it will take. But the is a solid chance.

........
And probably all priced $7-10k under MSRP. I never dreamed I'd ever pay anywhere close to msrp, on a Ford.

Forget the trucks, I took advantage of the unicorn event to sell my old house 🤑 Now I’m waiting for the correction to buy back in. Unfortunately I sold 5 vehicles in fall of 2020 at regular prices. I could’ve kept my 2020 Raptor for a year and made $10K rather than selling it for a $3K loss before moving.

20/20 hindsight. Can't get beat of up over a good decision in the moment. :)

Seems like the Raptor got scheduled... and they just took you out for a ride in it. ;)

That will never happen unless something happens to the Bronco that makes it completely undesirable. Ford is limited to about 150K units a year (split with the Ranger-for about 300K units at MAP with 3 shifts-currently only 2) on the Bronco and Ford can make 800-900K F-series pickups a year.

You'll be lucky to see a handful at a dealership, much like a Mustang.

The days of overproducing autos to keep plants busy is long dead.

I got to see one the other day. Of course it was the dealer GM who snagged the allocation and when asked how to get one said "only if you're willing to pay a $30,000 market adjustment on it". Really made me sad that dealers view it like that.

/endrant

It truly is an impressive vehicle. The release videos and pictures do not do it justice.
