THIS, SO MUCH THIS.

Ford: "switch to a soft top to get your truck sooner!"
Me: "I ordered a 2dr."
Ford: "Get fucked."
Easy answer. There is a shortage and build limitations. They don't want to waste hardtops.

Why do they use soft tops on the 2 doors when you canā€™t order it from the factory?
So they don't waste a hardtop.
Exactly this. Thats how few they have available. They are literally using them for stop-gaps until the hard tops arrive. Seems a shame they decided not to make those an option on the 2 doors, that would have given them some extra production availability. And selfishly would have helped me get mine sooner.

Let me clarify, they've essentially said "you want it, you gotta switch"
But there is literally no factory soft top option for the 2dr, so what exactly do I get to switch to? a 4dr that bumps my price up a couple grand, just so I can now have a factory soft top as an option?

No thanks, I guess I just gotta wait.

I'm in the same boat as you. Don't want a soft top, so wouldn't switch if I could anyway.

If this is truly the case, those sound like trucks with soft tops that are plumbed with hard top wiring and hoses. Which would be exactly what the masses are suggesting right now.

That would be my guess. Iā€™m honestly at a loss as to why Ford hasnā€™t gone down this path, but manufacturing is not my wheelhouse.

I don't think demo/manufacturer vehicles with a soft-top would have anything additional, nor would they waste a hardtop that they would have to eventually destroy given yesterday's admissions. These are being built this way out of necessity.

Where are the Hard Tops?

If Ford was smart, they build all the Bronco's with necessary plumbing and electrical connections for the hard top and offer the consumer the option of buying the soft top at a discounted rate and ship hard top at a later date?? This way, we all get our Bronco's?? Just a thought. Tired of this shit show already!

I went Bronco hunting today. Did my usual loop down to the MAP (took some pics and a video), over to Allen Park (empty), and then up to Dearborn. Saw about 5 Broncos on the road and a bunch more gassing up in Dearborn. And the CO Wildtrack always parked in the lot off Military Drive in Dearborn was next to an F150 Raptor so I snapped a few comparison pics. Enjoy!

Is it my imagination or does this stripe look incidentally offset?

Are you sure that isn't the "Ranger" version of the Raptor available overseas? If the 4dr Bronco is based on the ranger the similar wheel base between these vehicles would suggest it is.

Nope.. itā€™s the F-150. The ranger raptor doesnā€™t have the dip on the drivers door window like the F-150
