I got the SPV front Capable Bumper light mount and wiring harness. And two pairs of Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights - one pair Amber and one pair White. Install is straightforward if you watch their video. Their written install instructions are a good starting point, but the video has all you need.
The SPV mount replaces the factory fog lights. Install was straightforward. Their wiring harnesses, as I've already experienced, are excellent. I like the mount as it allows you to angle the lights forward since the bumper is curved. The light will throw straight ahead. But you have flexibility on how you can focus the lights. The fit and finish are excellent, and the quality of the mount is fantastic.
I got a pair of Amber lights as I do a lot of winter snow/fog driving to the Sierras. And also dusty desert driving. I got the Whites... just because the mounts take two pair and they look cool. Don't know how much I'll use the whites, but I feel good about the purchase. Probably could've bought generic light cubes, but I know they'll eventually fog. And I like how the Baja Designs lights have replaceable lenses for the type of light throw and the color. So if I want four Ambers, I can do that for another $40 in parts from BD.
The Amber are controlled by the OEM fog switch. Which is OK, cause my wife (and I) will press that instinctively. Unfortunately, the OEM fog switch only activates when the headlights are on. Not a big deal, just something to remember. I think there is some Forscan control, but the cheap Windows laptop I purchased from Craigslist no longer charges. You get what you pay for...
The Whites are controlled by an Aux switch.
The only install challenge - my mistake - is that I smashed the wiring against the driver frame horn when I installed the bumper. One light didn't work. Fortunately I had spare Weatherpak connector pins from a prior SPV purchase. And a spare Weatherpak connector that was provided with the BD lights.
Super happy with the purchase. Thanks @SPVPARTS !
