Our spy photographers just got a revealling close-up look at the 2021 Ford Bronco, thanks to this prototype running on public highways in Michigan. The new encounter gives us our first spy video, a detailed look at the suspension design, and a grainy look at the internal roll bars! Tire details are also revealed.

Suspension
Seen on the prototype is an independent front suspension and a solid rear axle.

Infotainment Screen
A quick interior shot shows the size and placement of the infotainment screen on the dashboard.

Camouflage Easter Egg
A close-up of the camouflage shows BRONCO spelled out among the graphic pattern, along with the active-lifestyle pursuits Ford’s Wrangler-fighter is designed to conquer.

Tire Details
The Bronco prototype is running on Bridgestone Dueller A/T tires, sized at 255/75 R17.

Rollbars Spotted. Bronco Prototype Running Roofless?
Our photos give us a peek through the heavily-tinted rear side glass as the prototype was driving away. The rather rough look inside reveals what appears to be a Bronco prototype driving without its production roof in place. It’s possible to see the internal roll bars, and a makeshift structure of pipes installed well above the roll bars. The piped structure looks to be in place simply to support the artificially high roof line that has been installed on the prototypes as a piece of camouflage. It would appear that rumors of a removable roof to match the Wrangler’s open-air abilities is already in use on these first prototypes.

I know the removable roof stuff might have most people excited, but the BIG news for me is there's no screen sticking up out of the dash! Thank goodness.

I am just not impressed, especially now seeing that there’s no solid front axle.
They want to make a Wrangler fighter, then give it options to compete with it for crying out loud!!!

No solid axle up front makes it a main competitor for the Cherokee now especially probably only limiting it to 4 cylinder power only like the Ranger. You really screwed this one up Ford.

I’m sure you mean that the other way around?
It's a joke for those of us who would sacrifice nearly everything to have SFA as a starting point. That we would accept an IRS before giving up the SFA.
