As many of you know, I'm the Bronco Specialist here at Serramonte Ford. Like you, I'm personally invested, as I have a Bronco on order! I was initially scheduled in the first go around, but was subsequently pushed back (due to MIC top, surely). My new build date is 8/5/2021, and my truck was just Sent to Plant. So I'll document the experience here start to finish. Based on what I'm seeing right now, I should get my truck here at my dealership 8/25/2021. That is my prediction.
Specs:
2 Door Big Bend
Mid Pack
2.7L
4.27 Locker
HD Bumper
Towing Pack
Aux Switches
LED Signature Lighting

Scheduled Build Date: 8/5/2021
Sent to Plant: 7/21/2021

For those curious about orders moved back, this is what the tracker shows for my Build. Original order date was 1/19/2021. As you can see, I have had three build dates, so I'm super jazzed that it's now Sent to Plant, as that means the production process has actually been set in motion.
Update 7/28/2021
Nothing doing on the production front (obviously), but I did get the poster in the mail. I don't know why Ford sent these out to some and not others. Initially I thought it was for those that had their builds pushed back, but my service director got one and he hasn't been scheduled yet.
8/7/2021 Update:
My Bronco is showing Produced as of today, it shows the produced date as 8/6/2021 which is a day later than scheduled Final Assembly. FWIW none of the MIC Top trucks produced since Late July have shipped, so I don't expect mine to get gate release right away. My FordPass app recognizes the VIN, but the jellybean (the digital image of my truck) is not showing up yet. I suspect they pull actual data from the VIN to produce the jellybean, as it is accurate to the vehicle specification.
8/9/2021 Update:
Truck now shows as built in the service system. The data is incomplete, but it shows a build date of 8/6/2021. As of yesterday it was still showing VIN not yet produced, so a step in the right direction!
Still no movement from the factory or status updates in visibility though, from mine or any of our other purgatory units.
8/12/2021 Update:
Oh boy. Looks like I'm in for a wait. Based on the communication, I'll be one of the last to get a new hard top. I'll keep this updated as much as possible. I did receive the model Bronco family recently in addition to the poster. I also just got a notification of the Bronco package coming my way that others have reported.
9/9/21 Update:
Received the Hammock yesterday. Also got the Greenlight models in the mail a couple weeks ago. Sounds like Ford is working through dirt mountain. My build date was 8/6/21 and yesterday it was announced that they started doing the tops on those units. We'll see how long it takes to get an update.
Our oldest Dirt Mountain unit was assembled 6/29, so I'll keep an eye on that unit, see if an update happens and we might have an idea of turn around on those units.
11/8/2021 Update:
BUILT EMAIL! Got my built email yesterday, nearly three months to the day. Digging deeper, I can see that it's been officially released from the factory, but hasn't been assigned a railcar yet. ETA is 11/21-11/27, I am assuming it will be closer to 11/30.
Got the Flag in the mail too, but haven't checked it out yet.
12/5/2021 Update:
My Bronco arrived 12/1/2021! (Guess my 11/30 guess was nearly on the money!)
Everything I could have expected and more. Only one issue I noticed which is a whistle coming from the front center of the roof panels at the header. Upon inspection, the weatherstripping on the passenger side panel is not glued down all the way. The 2.7 is a rocketship with the 4.27 gears (as expected) and the overall look is even better in person. Lots of compliments on the truck in the first couple of days.
I ordered the Sunrider from my parts department, so info on that when it arrives.
Our Bronco Stampede Vinyl came out great, so of you're in SF, look for it on the back of my Big Bend!
