How many of you are ordering a bronco base with silver steel wheels or Black diamond with steel black wheels?
Also do you think the Ford police caps will fit?

Ford police caps will not fit. They are for a 5 lug wheel, and the Bronco is a 6 lug.

My hope is that a center cap will be eventually available...

The ranger center cap won't fit? I see them for the 2020 ranger. Pricey at 50 each.

They are black plastic but you could paint them.

I thought they come with a center cap with a Bronco logo on them -

My big question is if 33" tires or 34" will fit on the steel wheels -

My understanding is that the ranger center cap is the same center cap that comes with the Bronco steelies already. Just covers the hub... not the lug nuts... and not chrome.

Yes.

The steel wheels (BD) are 7.5 wide. 285s are designed to fit 7.5 and up wheels.

285/75r17 is probably the largest that will work.

I'm not sure about the 16s on the base. They may be narrower. I'd have to check.

It took me a LOOOOOONG time to accept and finally come to like the steelies. I first did come to like them on the Sport, actually....and then figured dropping a thou on the aluminums was just not best money. Now, if I could get those Wildtrack black beauties....oh, I would!

I'm pretty disappointed the steelies on the base are only 7", pretty much limits you to a 265/75 tire.
I've thought about keeping them but always end up deciding to replace.
If they were at least 7.5 or 8.0" wide I would def keep them though, although I would probably paint or dip them black.

While I won't be getting factory steelies due to Badlands trim level, i'll be getting steelies for a dedicated set of 35" off road tires for the times I do hit the trails/rocks.

That you can do field repairs on steel wheels and often times regain a tire bead seems to be forgotten in the quest to have beadlock capable wheels that ~1% of people will actually use the beadlock feature. Steel wheels very much have a place on these vehicles.

I've order a Black diamond, might be painting them white eventually depending on how the MIC top holds paint.

There was this one time in my jeep, that I was going to the grocery store, and a cart like, flew out of the store right at me! I had to swerve and I ended up hitting one of the curbs where the cart carriers were, nearly popping my tire right off the bead. my beadlockers saved me that day, I can never go back.

Was the tire fully deflated? Did you lose any air? was it just an impact and you drove off?

With a steel wheel and a hammer (or rock, or Nokia cell phone in a pinch) you could have reseated the bead and inflated the wheel.

However, as i'm assuming you drove off, you're attributing the beadlocks to saving you in the parking lot just due to the extra lip mass. Cast/forged wheels can take a beating, however, they crack when they fail. This anecdotal experience is difficult to make an apples to apples comparison of, especially when the material didn't fail at all.
