Which would you buy on the black diamond. Steel or aluminum wheels? Asking for a friend.

I'm getting the steel wheels and will put the $900 that the optional wheels cost towards a wheel that we think looks better.

I stuck with the steel wheels on my black diamond order. the upgraded aluminum wheels look better but I'd rather save the extra $1000
I'm likely going Big Bend and prefer the Black Diamond wheels and tires, so I may end up swapping whenever the hell I finally get my truck. LOL

I am getting the base, steel wheels PLUS an addition aftermarket set (that looks very unique) is my plan. Get a different type of tires on your second set. Your incremental cost is the wheels/sensors only, not the tires because they will wear out at a slower rate.

I did this for my Mustang (winter tires) and I am very happy with this decision.

Personally I plan to go with a larger tire/wheel if it fits without modification. Why spend a grand if you plan on replacing it anyway. Plus I have someone lined up to buy the Steelies for their Big Bend.

Ordered my Black Diamond with steel wheels. I'll see what I think after running on them a while. After OEM tires wear out might put something a little bigger...33s?...on a set of aftermarket rims and put snow tires on the steelies

I am hoping I can fit Badlands stock take-offs onto a Black Diamond. For that reason, I stuck with the Steelies. In 12-24 mos I bet Badlands take-offs will be pretty easy to find.

Stuck with the steelies. I did NOT like them Sam I am, until I saw them on the Sport, and saw how cool they looked....and realized I could use the thou for something else....but it did affect my color choice. I was all in for Race Red until I saw pix of it with steelies....and uh, no. That needs the aluminums.

Or sooner. I played with offsets on a tire guide and with a 1/4” spacer there’s not a huge difference between the 265/70/17 285/70/17. I liked the look of the 285/75/17 not sure if that would fit without a lift.
