I had something on the silver trim part of my steering wheel that didnt wanna clean off. I got a little heavy with the chemicals and ate the finish off. Aside from the raptors carbon fiber trim are all others the same? Mine is silver btw.

Yes, they should all be the same. You may be better off just finding an overlay online. Check Amazon, eBay, or Google it. With the overlay, you won't have to remove anything, just adheres right over it.

From my understanding, in order to remove your silver trim, you would have to remove the airbag and the steering wheel itself. I think the clips to remove the silver trim are inside where the airbag is at. Can anyone confirm this / how to remove the silver trim? I'm asking because I am considering removing mine because I have a small piece of plastic inside mine that rattles around when I turn the wheel and it's driving me crazy. Thank you.

Ive already looked at the removal and it doesnt look bad. Ive removed several airbags and steering wheels. The part itself is fairly cheap. I was looking at the overlays on Amazon. I can get a multi piece set carbon fiber or color for about the same cost. Ive also been considering having painted body color. I have some leftover paint from some exterior trim pieces I had done. I also know a raptor wheel is thats not being used @Johnny Rebel :ROFLMAO:

Thanks. So do you actually have to remove the airbag and steering wheel to remove the trim, or can the trim be removed easier than that?

All the pictures Im seeing it looks like you just have to remove the airbag. As for the cruise and radio controls I cant tell. It looks like they attach to the trim piece. Ill dive into it Sat morning and find out.

That thing would be hell moving around the shop with no brakes AND a pair of vice grips instead of a wheel:LOL:
