Does anyone know if the steps that attach to the rock rails on the Bronco are the same as the ones that attach to the Ford Rangers rock rails? They look identical

The OEM ones dont attach to the rock rail, they are a single unit that bolt to the Bronco from underneath. I have no idea if theyre interchangeable though.

As stated above - the hoop steps and rock rails are not compatible (I have both and swap them back and forth if I go on an off-roading trip). The hoop steps come with their own mounting bar that looks similar to the OEM rock rails, but are not as heavy duty.

The Ranger hoop steps and Bronco hoop steps have different mounting points so they are not interchangeable even though they look almost the same.

Best steps for factory rails I found were the AR Stirrups but I don’t think they make them anymore and were way too much $$$ to justify anyways, IMO.

If you are looking for a step that mounts directly to the OEM rock rails, you should check out these from iAG:

https://iagoffroad.com/iag-full-length-ez-step-add-on-for-2021-ford-bronco-1-pair-/

I have a pair on my 2 door Badlands and love them. Install just takes a couple of minutes. Makes it much easier for my wife to get in and out. And they come off by releasing 2 bolts per side when you want to hit the trails. Added benefit is that they are full length, so they also greatly cut down on rock hits to the doors.

Every time I see a Bronco with the IAG steps they are already starting to rust and look like crap.

I’ve had 5 different steps on my Bronco in the 2.5 years I’ve owned it trying to figure out what works best for me. Just recently I put on a set of Bronco Raptor rock slider/steps and I finally found what I was looking for.

Have you been taking them off for off-roading, and if so how does that go?

I haven’t been offloading since installing them, but I just took one off and took about two minutes. If I was off Roading and needed to remove them, I would store them on my Hooke Road half roof rack with pipe insulation (to prevent damage) and bungee cords.

Do you have a part number for those? I've looked but have not found them. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2024 WT. I don't care for the tube steps ford has for the WT. thanks

Two years in central New England, lots of salt applied if there's a hint of snow. No rust. Very convenient, I can remove or re-install them in ten minutes, fifteen tops. I went for the full-length, which help protect the lower body more. (4-door) (I have RokBlokz mudflaps, too.)
No rust so far.
Their customer service is excellent. I needed a few replacement fixtures (my fault); they sent them gratis.

Do the Raptor Style Boards attach to all of the OEM rock rails, or are the rails you get when you order the running boards specifically for them?.
I’ve ordered a 2025 Badlands but wanted the modular bumper so I couldn’t get the running boards but would like to add them down the line. Will that be possible with the rock rails from the factory?

It may be helpful to distinguish clearly between steps (or running boards) and rockrails. The Badlands comes with good, sturdy rockrails, which protect the outboard corners of the body from trail damage. That's all they do. A number of vendors have removable steps/running boards you can attach to the rockrails (see my post, above).
You can find many products that are both rockrails and steps, which will attach permanently to the frame. These solve the problem for models which don't have rockrails. The problem is, most of them don't have as wide a step to put your foot on, and usually the step is fairly high--a problem who need an intermediate height to get their footing on. That could be a real issue with the higher Raptor lift. If it's serving as a rockrail, then you don't want it hanging down low, where it will get caught on obstacles.
My suggestion is educate yourself, searching "Badlands Raptor rockrail step" and see who's offering what. Then you'll know you want.

I understand what the Bandlands comes with and the difference between rock rails and steps / running boards. My question is can the Ford OEM Raptor Style running boards be attached to the OEM rock rails that come on the Badlands even if they are not part of the factory order.

I guess my question is how do the Ford Raptor Style running boards attach to the rock rails? When you include the running boards as part of the order from the factory is there anything unique about the rock rails that allow the boards to be attached vs the rock rails when the boards are not part of the order?
