Just out of curiosity, why wouldn’t Ford run the Wildtrak in this race? Isn’t that the model they say is built for speed in the desert?

Probably because the 33 inch tires cause less strain on the suspension; they are lighter and smaller, which makes for less part-breaking leverage.

The 33 BFG is heavier than a 33 Goodyear and almost the weight of a 35 Goodyear, I had this same thought and researched it.

The Badlands gets more suspension travel than a squatch.

But I was just watching a video of the finish line (on the other thread we've had going all week) and the Ranger that beat the Bronco was literally being pushed across the finish line because it had broken down before the end of the race!
