I never realized that there were even any woods in New Jersey.

It's not exactly the kind of state where one stops and visits, especially w/all the taxes there.

Fantastic filming. I liked seeing the verrazano bridge. Being that you started in heights town. You were very close to the ghetto safari. Look it up. It's in Jackson.

haha I caught the ghetto Safari, saw a dozen giraffes or so, was tempted to film, but didn't want to startle the wildlife / get into it with Six Flags Police....

The day I went to the pine barrens I had dropped my daughter off at Great Adventure with her friends for the day, so I went south from there. But then when I was picking her up, one of the security guards there saw my bronco and told me to head out behind the park and there are some trails they go on, I think right around this location:

Didnt get to check it out, but looks like there are some offroad tracks back there...

I recently drove the southern portion on the Trans New Jersey Trail and I put together a video of a few of my favorite moments along the way, it was an incredible drive and made me a bit less envious of those of you out west!

Very pretty. We have a series of trails here in Texas called the Texas Traverse; there are parts of the East Texas trails that look like some of that. Thanks for sharing.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! New Jersey native here, who is now spoiled living out west. I just was back home over Labor Day and hiked part of the Appalachian Trail that runs thru NJ. So many hidden gems that people often don’t think about, but it’s quite a diverse state in terms of landscape and ecology.

I live on the edge of the Pine Barrens and have a few buddies that run those trails in their jeeps. I never bothered to try them in my big old pickup but am planning on getting out with them in my Bronco in the coming weeks.

Dude - that’s AMAZING!!!! Always wonder how people get those aerial shots like that - you have to be good with using a drone I’m assuming?? Looks fantastic man. Crazy when you think about it, NJ is the most densely populated state . We get a bad rap for about 10 square miles around Elizabeth/ Newark docks/refineries. That’s where everyone lands at EWR , or out of staters drive the Turnpike.

what is your setup for filming?

I am using a DJI Action 3 for the Dash Cam shots and a Magic 3 Classic for the drone footage. Can't recommend ND Filters enough.
