Warning to all - Rear Tire Stolen yesterday while parked at work. Have great video of it and it took less than three minutes for thief to pull next to my parked SAS Badland, take spare cover off, unbolt and place in his SUV then drive off. For those that say stolen spares isn’t a thing …. Well it was yesterday. Buy some locks !!

Would have taken him all of an extra minute, if that to remove a wheel lock if he was a good thief. Sorry that happened to you but a good old fashioned alarm would have at least notified those around your Bronco that what he was doing was malicious, even better if you had one that sent you notifications.

For Sale: 1 Sasquatch wheel and tire, good condition, unknown mileage. Cash only.
For real though, that sucks. I didn't think anyone stole stock wheels at all. I went without wheel locks because I figured they just waste time at the tire shop or on the roadside.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a feature called Securalert that Ford originally included and then took away for no reason. I bought the extra shock alarm sensor just because of this feature, than they disabled it. (Would send a you a phone alert thru FordPass Everytime alarm went off, worked great for a bit)

Most criminals want something easy to swipe. Although a wheel lock isn’t a guarantee for protection from this sort of crime, it slows them down and will deter some folks.

Sorry to hear this happened, OP. People will take anything nowadays unfortunately.

I'm sorry to read this, but it was on my mind when I bought BSAS. The first thing I did was buy locks and order a second key, so I have a spare.

Mine still works. Got 4 alerts yesterday and 2 today. What changed?

I turned the sensor down yesterday because it's annoying

https://www.ford.com/support/how-to.../what-is-the-securialert-feature-in-fordpass/

The FordPass SecuriAlert preview feature allowed you to get a notification on the FordPass App whenever one or more of your vehicle's door status changed to open and or when the trunk/hood was opened.

As of May 8, 2023, this feature is no longer in FordPass. We greatly appreciate the use during the preview period. The feedback and learning from this trial will be applied when bringing you new features in the future.

Looks like it's for if the doors are opened

I have not received an alert in a year. There used to be an area in FordPass where you could setup alert schedules for door openings during certain times, etc. could set a schedule. That who section is gone and at one point it stated that this temporary feature has been removed. You got screenshots of these settings?

That's why I bought these. Helps prevent the impulse thief. I still have factory lug nuts on the other four wheels. They take too much work to steal and they're stock wheels.

I asked around and hadn't heard of anyone's spare being stolen, but I figured they were cheap insurance. And the Harbor Freight universal key won't work on them.

They're Advanced Wheel Locks. Very highly rated by projectfarm where I first learned of them.
