Notice just sent to all U.S. Ford and Lincoln dealers:

Subject: NEW VEHICLE DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD - Advanced Notice - Safety Recall 23S06
Certain 2022-2023 Model Year Bronco, Explorer, F-150 Mustang and 2023 Aviator Vehicles Equipped With 10 Speed Automatic Transmission
Bronco build dates affected: 11/14/22 - 01/12/23
Reason for this Safety Recall:
In some of the affected vehicles, the transmission may contain a loose (extra) bolt introduced during the transmission assembly process quality review. A loose bolt inside the transmission could prevent the transmission from achieving park by blocking the park pawl from engaging the park gear, although the gear shifter position may indicate that the vehicle has been shifted to "PARK." Loss of the ability to secure the park pawl could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Service Action:
DO NOT DEMONSTRATE OR DELIVER any new-in stock vehicles involved in this safety recall.

Ford Bronco STOP delivery on some Broncos due to 10-speed auto transmission recall (build dates: 11/14/22 - 01/12/23) -- loose bolt / park pawl issue C333C2B9-1927-463B-B558-72E301BD8B59

NHTSA has copies of both the above document and the recall letter to Ford on their site:

Damn. Ford has GOT to get their quality game together. I love my Bronco and my 12 year old F-150 but these major quality issues have been going on for too long. I know every OEM has recalls and issues, but everybody knows this is something Ford has been struggling with for far too long. Come on guys!

A co-worker of mine took delivery of his 2023 Chevy Tahoe Z71 with the 10-speed transmission. The 10-speed development was a joint venture between GM and Ford. Needless to say, my co-worker returned the Tahoe to the dealer and got his money back because the transmission would not shift properly or even go into Reverse half the time. He decided not to wait around for the "fix".

LOL!

You do know that there is a recall for the Manual also right?

Okay not bad news for me. Another great reason I got the Manual Transmission! For the rest, hopefully this is an easy fix. Good luck.

TSB* but you’re right. And that is affecting far more vehicles.

Common Tiger! You are not in the recall.

How do we check our build date? I believe mine would fall in these dates, but my VIN shows no recalls on the Ford site.

not in the group but my wifes 2017 Escape had a recall similar to this a few months back. We got her car back in less than a day. Granted apples to oranges maybe.
Totally different. That was a shifter cable bushing that can be done in <10 minutes.
