Put my Bronco on the scale yesterday. It was reading 140 kg empty so subtracting that from the 2400 kg displayed makes it 2260 kg or 4982 lbs. That’s with half a tank of gas and no cargo of any kind. That’s about 200 lbs heavier than my 4 door Explorer including the winch. I am not really surprised though, modern vehicles are so heavy.

These suckers are little fatties. Quite a bit heavier than my EB with V8, NP435, Dana 20, Dana 44, Dana 60, steel bumpers, steel body, steel wheels, etc. Not sure where the '21 is keeping all its weight.
Must have rocks in their pockets. To be fair though, all modern cars are fat. The new Mustang is 1000 lbs heavier than mine. My 2010 F-350 crew cab diesel is 8000 lbs empty, my 1990 F-250 regular cab diesel was 5800 lbs. All of the safety stuff adds weight.

My 87 Bronco was 5500# with 4" lift, 35" tires, prerunner bumpers, roll cage, 2 spare tires, and basic recovery gear. The 2 door is heavier than I expected.

Definitely, plus the full roll bars and safety in the back are a lot heavier than sheet metal in the Explorer tops. Too

Curious what your build is. I see Badlands Squatch with roof racks, but 2.7 or 2.3? Mid, High, Lux? etc.

What is the weight of the 4-door? The 6,000-pound vehicle tax deduction is a rule under the federal tax code that allows people to deduct up to $25,000 of a vehicle's purchasing price on their tax return. Maybe ill buy a couple extra tires to get me to 6k.

That tax deduction is kind of a trap, you're stuck keeping the vehicle on your taxes for 6 years (I think) before converting it to personal use to finally stop reporting it. You can't claim mileage in future years because of the big deduction up front, only actual maintenance/fuel costs. I did it on my 2006 Dodge 2500 in 2008, it haunted me for a while.

I can expect to come in about 100lbs less then. Seems pretty much inline with posted specs.

Thanks / wasn’t showing on my iPhone. So with Lux and Leather you should be a little heavier than me.

At 665lbs more than my 4dr JKUR, this thing is a heavy beast.
