So I took the simple route and hoisted my panels in the back. I mainly hooked them like this for easy re-install. Thoughts about the method? Any recommendations? Thank you!

I think putting undo stress on a part that was poorly designed is asking for them to crack or otherwise deform. Seems like you’re asking for trouble doing it that way.

It takes about 20-30 seconds to get them into the bag that you’re using as a mat anyway.

Put one down and pull the bag over the top of it then flip it over and slide the other in. Practice a few times and you’ll see it’s not really a chore.

That strap is less than half way up the panels, I'd hate to see them fall back and break your rear window.

Storing those panels while keeping some cargo space in the rear is a challenge!
I made a storage rack for the panels to keep them out of the way. It obviously makes the rear seats unusable tho. Both panels will fit on the top shelf, but it's a tight fit.

I think the 70 seconds it takes to put them in the bag properly is well worth it when it’d likely cost thousands to replace those if you cracked them or broke a corner. But to each their own. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for the feedback!

You are right! Will have to continue to practice. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast!

Neat set up! I’ve got a baby seat in my back seater.

Get a Besttop sunrider, put them in the bag for the season and put the bag in a nice safe place in your house/Flat

The bag is intended to be strapped to the back seat. Read the instructions on the label. I usually just leave em at home and I never carry the bag with me so I just lay back seat down and stack em if Im out and take em off. I dont like them standing up and blocking my rearview.
