Those who remove the soft top, how do you store it? I have dual tops and getting close to putting the hard top on for the winter, but don’t know how to store the soft top so it’s out of the way. The hard top lives on the ceiling via a Lange hoist. Looking for ideas!!

Thanks!!

Make a platform for the soft top and hoist it up?

Put the back seats of your 4 door down and store it in the back and never use the back for anything else?

I really like the idea of a platform and put it on the ceiling, was just curious if anyone else has done something similar that I could copy? Or, if they installed heavy-duty hooks on the wall and were able to hang it up that way? I don't want it laying on the floor that's for sure, or on my work bench as I tend to use it during the winter for "winter projects" around the house.

I put a 4x8 loft shelf in my garage and an electric winch on a trolly (several threads have ideas on that). I use the winch to take off the tops and store them in the loft.

Problem solved. $70. Going to get a ratchet strap tomorrow instead of bungee cords to hold it closed. If you do something similar, you will need the big “U” type of hooks and not the flat arms like I show in the photo of just the bracket on the wall. Look at the photo from underneath the top to see the U hook bracket. It wants to lean forward, so the U hook actually holds it in place. The bracket is a 48 inch from Lowes, along with a piece of primed 1x4 anchored into the studs behind it. Will want 3 U brackets to clip onto it (sides and middle) to share the load.

Just throw it under the '64 Rambler rotting in the backyard like a normal person.

I got one of these installed in my garage. I slide it into a queen size mattress moving bag and seal it to keep bugs out. Has worked out so far!
