Add mine to the list. 2023 Badlands Sasquatch. Went through gatekeeper and got the “check 4x4” “service vehicle soon” alert. Was unable to shift out of 4LO after coming off the trail. Tried disconnecting the battery and checking the common connections that cause this issue and everything seemed ok.

had to get her towed to the closest dealer, Folsom lake ford. If anyone has dealt with them before, I hope they are better than the last dealership I used.

My tank is also showing 0 miles to empty even on a full tank. The code I’m getting is P0463, fuel level sensor A circuit high. I haven’t seen anything on this, but maybe I missed it in my search.

Got any underbody shots? Probably damaged wiring harness. Gatekeeper has a few nice rocks in the right spots
I don’t, wish I would have taken some. Closest thing I have is a pic of my trailing arm skid that got destroyed.

Do you think that’s causing both issues or just the 4LO?

Looks like you were hitting rocks pretty hard if you ripped that skid off. Odds are you did something to the gas tank (modern vehicles are weird. If one thing goes wrong, other things follow suit. Likely related issue). That’s a lot of weight on your rig and the Rubicon eats heavy vehicles through the rocky sections. Your honestly lucky things broke as early as they did. With that kind of carnage from just gatekeeper you were looking at something catastrophic happening ahead for sure.

mine had "no gas" for almost a year.... I took the tank out and checked everything out and removed the fuel pump and sending unit examine them so no damage and reinstalled same problem exists I plan on buying a new sending unit eventually but it's not on my priority list.

symptoms occurred right after a very rough 4x4 road. You know the kind where every bump just rattles your teeth out even after you air down it was like this for miles

SWAG: The wiring harness outboard of the p[assenger frame rail, controls 4wd and, guessing due to proximity, fuel gauge?

its definitely wiring harness related, the actuator on the transfer case and the gas tank are all passenger side and exposed somewhat.

@mvilla That looks like IAG shock skid? Did you have the factory skid plates? Let us know how it goes at Folsom Ford, you might be in for a lengthy repair.
Yeah factory plates, except the front where I have the RC hidden winch. Also have RCI alum trans skid, NVM diff skid, and DV8 rear shock skids.

They should be giving me a call end of the day to update. Hopefully it’s not too complicated.

Got an update from the service advisor.

There is a wiring harness on the front driver side wheel well that passes over the edge of a body panel. Sounds like the edge of the panel cut two wires that caused the 4x4 failure.

They are still looking into the fuel tank issue. They mentioned a possible warrantied fuel pump replacement.

I gotta say my experience with Folsom lake ford service has been excellent. They have been communicating with me almost every day and are reachable, which is night and day coming from my experience with Serramonte ford.

So the dealership replaced the fuel pump, but it’s still showing 0 at the cluster. Now they are saying that I need a new IPC because the short fried the IPC and the original fuel pump.

Does this make any sense? How would replacing the IPC fix whatever is causing the tank to show 0 miles to empty?

Costs are starting to go up and I am starting to doubt that they really know what’s going on with it and may just be throwing parts and labor on top.
