I want to go water adventuring without hauling the key fob electronics. I just want to carry the key blade with me. Bronco won’t let me keep the doors locked with the rest of the fob inside. With my past vehicle I could bypass this by manually locking all the doors with the blade. I found I can block the signal by wrapping with foil, but it there a better way. Is there a designated dead zone in the bronco? Tried searching and reading the manual. Thanks! This is a base with no keyless entry.

Do you have the external keypad? This better be possible with the external keypad, as I currently have a key somewhere in my Ford Edge, no clue where as I always use the keypad to lock/unlock.

Im in the same situation, Im getting the keyless entry pad in hopes to be able to surf with the keys locked in the car.... I would hope that works.

Currently using a blocker on a subaru and they work and dont work.... its weird. I currently wrap it in foil to block the signal and then unlock it with the key itself. Hoping to avoid this mess.

I have read where you can lock the door with the keypad and it will ignore the fact that the key is inside the vehicle until the code is entered again.

And you have to rush when you open the doors ‘cause the vehicle alarms when you open the door.

Yeah should’ve got the keypad. that was the plan till dealer wants to charge $100 to program. Have a hard time accepting that.

Should’ve ordered initally but didn’t like location and didn’t want to remove and relocate it.

Might have to treat myself to an apple watch. Wonder if that’ll work.

you can add the external keypad to any Bronco I believe. place the keypad inside the fuel filler door where only you know it's at. It's a sticky tape mount.
