crawling around underneath my BR I noticed that on each upper control arm there a little plastic rod attached from the arm to a sensor of some kind. Anyone know what this is for? I have a bad feeling about these..... once the wheel well gets full of ice and snow it will tear that right off.

It’s just a height sensor. Lincoln’s and many other vehicles have had them forever. It’ll be just fine.

F150 raptors have had them since '19. Haven't heard anyone have issues

The suspension module uses this input to adjust the shocks on the fly.
