Would I be able to use the same wheels for slightly smaller tires on my sasquatch base, to 285/75R17?

I find the squatch tires too wide. Thanks for any help.

285/70-75R17 is pretty popular in the Jeep/off-road community and very common on 17x8.5-9 rims.
