I hear ya, its just fresh on my mind because
The outer banks have been around a lot longer than the teen drama that takes place there lmao

FWIW I think Outer Banks is a cooler name than Wildtrak
My kids love that show so its fresh on my mind. The Outer Banks is on my list of places to go see, just another thing this great country of ours has to offer.

Wildtrak interior (the leather at least) looks much better in person than in pictures. I almost switched to a Badlands because of the early pictures I saw but I'm happy I stuck with it.

When I spec an OBX, 4dr, MIC, Sas, 2.7, Lux I get a Total MSRP of $55,165

When I Build WT, 4dr, MIC, Lux, Tube Steps I get a Total MSRP
Of $55,650

So I only see a net difference of $485 between the two when identically built……$395 of that $485 is the tube steps.

So basically for $485 with the WT you are getting the blacked out appearance pkg and Baja GOAT mode, and WT graphic on the hood cowl…..not a bad deal.

The deal breaker for either side (with Baja available with Forscan) is going to be the more polished appearance of the OBX and interior preference vs the more rugged appearance of the WT and digicam seats and the ability to add the side graphics to the WT.

Decisions, decisions…..winner either way.

On my Wildtrak order we added the Modular bumper and I can't remember why but I remember the guy saying that if we took off the the Modular bumper we lost something we wanted.
Don't know what it would be - on an OBX you can only add the brushbar 2.0 (first ones blocked parking sensors - and there is not a thing else that Ford offers to mount on the modular bumper - all lighting is aftermarket. Better off with the Capable Bumper or stick with the plastic and swap it out for a better aftermarket

Can't get the capable bumper on a Wildtrak. Can't mount anything to the capable anyway.

That $395 for tube steps does not include the rolled in price of full steps on teh OBX that you do not get. There is also some value in painted fender extenders, although if you plan on a lot of offroading the molded in color (that can be buffed out with a Brillo pad) might be better.

I have come to the conclusion that the sole purpose of the modular bumper is that when you beat it up the two end caps are easily replaceable.

It surprises me not that the capable bumper is not capable of anything

I believe the powder coated tube steps are the exact step on both trims….it’s just included standard on the OBX and an add-on for the WT. I spec’d the OBX with Sas, which removes the body colored fender flares so that I could do a apples to apples comparison since the WT comes stock with Sas.

What the OP switched to is my order to start with...

I had a roast interior on my 2010 Lincoln MKS ecoboost and it was money. Miss that interior so much. The Lincoln had a red exterior... Can't recall the name but definitely metallic.

Now time for green... 😎

Neither the OBX or the Wildtrack had it to start with
Aye - I thought the wildtrak did as the top trim.

So only Badlands gets the disco?

Shows what my base ass knows.

Plus taking them off for clearance. And the ability to bolt stuff onto it.

Probably why they changed the name lol

My OBX at the OBX, one of our favorite places.
