I’m switching from a hardtop to a soft top from another bronco. when finally folding top to close it completely on the new bronco it fell short. it won’t reach to lock up by the windshield driver and passenger side. Anyone know why? Or have any experience switching tops to the factory soft top?

Folks may need pics for reference. I don’t have a soft top, so I don’t have a clue

Did the first position up latch properly over the B-pillars?

Yes with some adjustment to the bracket that sits above the rear windows. Thought that would fix it but it still falls short

I had a problem with my wrangler similar to this. I just had someone help stretch it so I could latch it down and let the sun bake it for a week. No it latches just fine. I think it just needs time to stretch.

It’s so close to closing too. Hope I can do that and it works

I actually just did that and it gave me enough to close it! It was harder than usual but it’s shut now all the way.

It’ll get easier to latch as you use it. Ours took a few weeks to bed in…

As a couple others have said, park it in direct sunlight for a while. It will stretch out well. Also easier to "exercise it" a few times when it's hot. Glad you were able to get it worked out!
