Yeah I feel like the soft top will win me over - I will still plan on buying a Hard Top eventually, but am also excited for aftermarket hard top solutions once more Broncos are in the wild - ultimately as someone in socal having a softtop will be a good option since I'll have the roof off most of the time anyways
yeah, I keep telling myself I'll just get a hard top when they come out later... but I'm fairly certain once I have the soft top for a year I won't bother. Nor will I want to fork out the thousands of dollars Ford is going to charge for it and have it shipped.

So soft top is my ride or die.

Being in the NE, I really didn't care for the soft top. But I'm sure in the end it'll be fine... (at least that's what I'm telling myself)

Sounds like some late reservation holders trying to gamble and cut in line with a soft top order.....solid idea, and may still work out.

I switched before the first deadline and still nothing, so I am not going to get my hopes up. I have a late day two reservation. We shall see, hope, and pray.

Do you have some of the other sins? Lux? Tow Package? SAS?

I switched to a soft top late last week. Didn’t want to, but it is what it is. I do think it will have some benefits. I ultimately plan on buying a Bestop soft top, which I think will look much better. And down the road, if I still want a hard top, I’ll buy one then.

Exactly - also too look at the amount of Jeep Hard top options that are available today from aftermarket companies - I feel like by 2023 there will be PLENTY of top options and now that we get the Hard top prep kit we'll be good to go no matter what.

Plus I plan on taking off my top fully for most of the year anyways

Yup. First 12hr 2dr WT reservation here. After much discussion and thought, we've made the switch to the damn 4dr soft top. If we want to ride in a 2dr, the '75 will have to do:).

Reality is, it was a bit selfish to want the 2dr with two kids and a dog. Thought ehh.... they're young, they can get in and out. Now we know 4dr is right decision. And Ford sorta forced our hand not looking to hold out til 2022-23 for issues to be resolved. But when these kids go to college, we're gettin that damn 2dr hard top!!

So appreciative of this forum. The community here has undoubtedly helped us make an informed decision. Hope to be seeing the good folks at Granger soon!

I also switched. I'm a day 1 reservation with the modular top at the beginning with no changes until now. Friday I switch to soft top and went from high to lux package while I was at it since I was cutting cost going to soft top.

I actually feel really good about it since I was going to get a soft top anyways but wanted the hook ups (prep kit) when I first ordered. I probably should have done it when they first offered the switch but it just gave me more time to save my pennies. I'm now sitting at a 4 door Badlands, Soft Top, SAS, lux, 2.7, and tow.

Yeah that makes sense - SAS, Tow and 2.7L hopefully should get before end of the year though!

It looked like they got up to about 1/2 the day for 7/14 soft reservations last week. You will probably be in good shape unless a bunch of earlier reses switched.
