So I spent the last few days driving around with the 2 front Top panels on and no rear. Did it a hwy speeds, doors on and doors off. It works perfectly and had no issues. Just wondering if anyone else is doing this, because I’ve not seen it.

I kind of like the look. Does it cut down on wind noise and wind blown hair?

How was it with doors on windows up? Anything bouncing off the dash?

I don’t see the point. Canvas top provides the same shade and cost about $300. If one or both of those panels fly off, or stress weakens the connection hardware points, the cost of replacements will be astronomical. Not to mention, the MIC tops are “ the” commodity restraint and good luck getting them any time soon. I would have to wrap a few long bungees around the panels to give me any peace of mind. It does look pretty cool. Of course that all goes away as one or both of the panels are in the side view mirror sliding down the fast lane. But hey, have fun is what it is all about enjoy. BTW, you have a sweet looking EG BL.

Neat. You have my exact build but in EG instead of HPR. If I squint, I can imagine mine that way.

It’s held on with locking clips. If it could fly off, it could fly off while the rear is on.

That was my first thought.
If Ford doesn’t say don’t do it, then why not?
Why would they fly off?
I like it!

And it doesn’t cost $300 for a cloth top.

Does Ford say not to do it anywhere? I haven’t found it but that does not mean it isn’t written somewhere lol

I remember a thread from a many months ago, and forgive me but I cannot cite it, where Ford had mentioned not to run this at high speed for fear of the tops flying off.

I have been intrigued with this configuration early on. At the very least hoping for an aftermarket offering.

It would make my life easier in Florida for sure…..short trips with the Tonneau on would keep the surprise showers out.

That’s interesting.
I bought an ‘07 Mustang GT Convertible new, and was surprised how many owners didn’t know there was a specific procedure for putting all the windows up. It was buried in a paragraph in the manual. Will have to do some digging!

If something goes wrong, I’ll just blame Ford for not giving me a manual 🤣🤣🤣

I used to drive my 2010 wrangler with just the front panels all the time. I’ve been driving this way all week in my bronco due to rain. Including multiple 2-3 hour highway road trips. No problems at all!
