Tailgate Reinforcment - Needed if not mounting tire?

I was rear ended. Over 24k in damage. I’m putting an after market bumper on that holds the tire. Do I need the OEM reinforcement tailgate part?

also what tire delete kit should I go with? And do I need to add a aftermarket reinforcement kit?

The Badlands model shouldn't even come with that reinforcement plate. Those come on Raptor models only.

So I can tell them I don’t need it? What does that part even do?

they have had some other items that didn’t seem right but they said it’s all based off my vin

As mentioned above, regular Bronco doesn't have the reinforcement plate. Since you are going with the bumper mounted carrier you won't need any aftermarket reinforcement. Several different spare tire delete kits out there.

Nope, not needed, especially with a bumper-mounted spare tire solution.
